Max Oldmeadow
Maxwell Wilkinson Oldmeadow (3 August 192421 March 2013) was an Australian politician. Born in Melbourne, he attended the University of Melbourne and then Melbourne Teachers' College. He served in the military during World War II, 1942–45. He was then a teacher and part-time lecturer at Monash University, and was elected to Dandenong City Council. The Division of Holt is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. It is located in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, including Blind Bight, Botanic Ridge, Cannons Creek, Clyde, Cranbourne, Devon Meadows, Hampton Park, Junction Village, Lynbrook, and Warneet; and parts of Clyde North, Lyndhurst, Narre Warren South, Pearcedale and Tooradin. City Of Dandenong
The City of Dandenong was a local government area about southeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covered an area of , and existed from 1857 until 1994. History Dandenong was part of the Shire of Dandenong, which was first incorporated in 1857 as a road district, and became a shire in 1873. On 31 May 1955, the new Shire of Dandenong was separately incorporated, while the original Shire of Dandenong was renamed Springvale and Noble Park. On 14 May 1959, Dandenong was proclaimed a city. Len Reid
Leonard Stanley Reid, (21 September 1916 – 22 April 2003) was an Australian fighter pilot and politician who represented the Liberal Party as a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly and the Australian House of Representatives. Reid served as a fighter pilot in both the Royal Australian Air Force and on attachment to the Royal Air Force during the Second World War, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on 4 December 1942. After the war, he ran a dairy farm in Cranbourne, Victoria before being elected to the Electoral district of Dandenong at the 1958 Victorian state election. Reid served as the member for Dandenong for 11 years, before resigning his seat to contest the newly created federal Division of Holt, which covered much of the same area as Dandenong, at the 1969 federal election.
