Max McHugh
Maxwell McHugh (born 1999) is an American competitive swimmer specializing in breaststroke events. In 2021, he won two NCAA Division I titles at the year's championships, one in the 100 yard breaststroke and one in the 200 yard breaststroke. At the 2022 NCAA Division I Championships, he won the NCAA title in the 100 yard breaststroke. He competes collegiately for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
Sturgeon Bay is a city in and the county seat of Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 9,646 at the 2020 Census. The city is well-known regionally for being the largest city of the Door Peninsula, after which the county is named. History The area was originally inhabited by the Ho-Chunk and Menominee. The town is known in the Menominee language as ''Namāēw-Wīhkit'', or "bay of the sturgeon". The Menominee ceded this territory to the United States in the 1831 Treaty of Washington. After that, the area was available for white settlement. The community was first recorded as Graham in 1855 but, in 1857, the state legislature organized it as the town of Ottumba. Subsequently, the name was reverted to Graham and, in 1860, a petition was submitted to the county board to change the community's name to that of the adjacent bay. The California Golden Bears are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Berkeley. Josh Matheny (born October 16, 2002) is an American competitive swimmer specializing in breaststroke events. He is a world junior record holder in the 4×100 meter mixed medley relay. He won the gold medal and the national title in the 100 meter breaststroke at the 2022 US National Championships. Ian Finnerty (born August 2, 1996) is a retired American competitive swimmer who specialized in the breaststroke and individual medley events. He represented the DC Trident which is part of the International Swimming League. Finnerty is the current holder of the American record in the 100 yard breaststroke and a former American record holder in the short course 50 meter breaststroke and 100 meter breaststroke events. Early life Ian Finnerty was born August 2, 1996, in Bloomington, Indiana, as the son of Stephen Finnerty and Dina Adkins.
