Max Koffler
Max Koffler (born 1978) is a German musician. He has written music for some German movies and released his debut album ''taboo'' in May 2008. Life and career Koffler was born in August 1978 in Berlin, Germany. He is a great-grandson of the filmmaker Leo Koffler and a descendant of the composer Domenico Mazzocchi. Already in his early childhood Max did music and also played main parts in musicals. After the Fall of the Wall his family moved from Berlin to Stendal in Saxony-Anhalt where he founded his first band ''Kerosin'' together with his brother Hanno Koffler in 1994. In 1997, he moved back to Berlin. Kerosin won second prize in the World's biggest Band Live contest ''Emergenza'' in 2001 and recorded songs for several German cinema movies. Max Koffler also wrote and performed the German title song for the movie "ganz und gar" (2003). Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge, shoegaze, and Britpop subgenres in the United States and United Kingdom, respectively. During this period, many record labels were looking for "alternatives", as many corporate rock, hard rock, and glam metal acts from the 1980s were beginning to grow stale throughout the music industry. Leo Koffler
Leo Koffler (1879—1931) (full name Leon Bernhard Koffler, also known as Oskar Koffler) was a screenwriter, actor and singer. Living and working in Berlin in the beginning of the 20th century, he was one of the pioneers of cinema. Life Koffler was born on June 7, 1879, in Zurawno, near Lemberg, now Lviv, Ukraine, when the city was in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. His family moved to Vienna in 1882, where he received his education. He made his ''Abitur'' and became an opera singer. In 1911 he became the director of a theatre in Colmar, Alsace which was then in the German Empire (now in France). In 1914 he moved to Berlin. He sang in a number of musicals and operas including ''Das Dreimäderlhaus'', and '' Hänsel and Gretel'' at the Theater des Westens. Koffler also played small parts in many movies. Domenico Mazzocchi
Domenico Mazzocchi (baptised 1592 in Civita Castellana21 January 1665 in Veja) was an Italian Baroque composer of only vocal music, of the generation after Claudio Monteverdi. He was a learned Roman lawyer, studied music with Giovanni Maria Nanino (or Nanini), also in Rome, and entered the service of cardinal Ippolito Aldobrandini in 1621. He is associated with providing music for the popes, particularly Cardinal Maffeo Barberini, later Pope Urban VIII, until Mazzocchi's death in Rome on 21 January 1665. His younger brother, Virgilio Mazzocchi, was a less notable Roman composer and had a similar career as a Vatican music provider. Hanno Koffler
Hanno Koffler (born March 25, 1980) is a German actor and musician. His most famous films include '' Summer Storm'', '' Krabat'' and '' Free Fall''. He also starred in the Oscar-nominated film, '' Never Look Away'' (2018), directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Life and career Koffler was born in West Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. He was raised with his three brothers in Charlottenburg by a working middle-class family. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Koffler family was severely affected, as Hanno's father fell professionally, forcing the family to move to Saxony-Anhalt. At an early age, Koffler began acting in small roles in plays. In 1994 he founded the band "Kerosin" with his brother Max Koffler, Hanno being the drummer.
