Max-Weber-Platz Station
Max-Weber-Platz is a Munich U-Bahn interchange station on the U4 and U5 lines in the borough of Haidhausen. The station is located under Max-Weber-Platz, just east of the Landtag of Bavaria. The square was originally named after a local politician but from 1998 also after the more known sociologist. Max-Weber-Platz station is a transport hub for the Haidhausen quarter, allowing interchange between U-Bahn, bus and tramway services. The station is serviced by the bus lines X30, 190 and 191 as well as lines , , and of the Munich tramway. Au-Haidhausen
Au-Haidhausen (Central Bavarian: ''Au-Haidhausn'') is the 5th borough of the Germany, German city of Munich, Bavaria. It is formed by the Au (Munich), Au and Haidhausen (Munich), Haidhausen districts. Location Au lies opposite the Altstadt of the city on the easterly plain tract of the Isar. Haidhausen is above Au on the Isar's uplands. A horsecar, horse-drawn tram, horse-drawn streetcar (U.S.), or horse-drawn railway (historical), is a tram or streetcar pulled by a horse. A mezzanine (; or in Italian, a ''mezzanino'') is an intermediate floor in a building which is partly open to the double-height ceilinged floor below, or which does not extend over the whole floorspace of the building, a loft with non-sloped walls. Munich Tramway
The Munich tramway () is the tramway network for the city of Munich in Germany. Today it is operated by the municipally owned Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (the Munich Transport Company, or MVG) and is known officially and colloquially as the ''Tram''. Previous operators have included ''Société Anonyme des Tramways de Munich'', the ''Münchner Trambahn-Aktiengesellschaft'', the ''Städtische Straßenbahnen'' and the ''Straßenbahn München''. The tram network interconnects with the MVG's bus network, the Munich U-Bahn and the Munich S-Bahn, all of which use a common tariff as part of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (Munich Transport and Tariff Association, or MVV) transit area. Max Weber
Maximilian Carl Emil Weber (; ; 21 April 186414 June 1920) was a German Sociology, sociologist, historian, jurist, and political economy, political economist who was one of the central figures in the development of sociology and the social sciences more generally. His ideas continue to influence social theory and social research, research. Born in Erfurt in 1864, Weber studied law and history in Humboldt University of Berlin, Berlin, University of Göttingen, Göttingen, and Heidelberg University, Heidelberg. After earning his doctorate in law in 1889 and habilitation in 1891, he taught in Berlin, University of Freiburg, Freiburg, and Heidelberg. Landtag Of Bavaria
The Landtag of Bavaria, officially known in English as the Bavarian State Parliament, is the unicameral legislature of the German state of Bavaria. The parliament meets in the Maximilianeum in Munich. Elections to the Landtag are held every five years and have to be conducted on a Sunday or public holiday. Haidhausen (Central Bavarian: ''Haidhausn'') is a quarter in Munich, Germany. It is now part of the Stadtbezirk, borough of Au-Haidhausen. Location Haidhausen is bordered to the north by Bogenhausen, Berg am Laim to the east, to the south by Au (Munich), Au, and the west border of the district is delimited by the Isar, Isar river. Munich U-Bahn
The Munich U-Bahn () is an Railway electrification system, electric rail Rapid transit, rapid transit network in Munich, Germany. The system began operation in 1971, and is operated by the municipally owned Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG; Munich Transport Company). The network is integrated into the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV; Munich Transport and Tariff Association) and interconnected with the Munich S-Bahn.
