Mawuli School
Mawuli School is a co-educational, boarding school, boarding senior high school located in Ho, Ghana, Ho in the Ho Municipal, Ho Municipal district in the Volta Region of Ghana. History The school was founded in 1950 by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Evangelical Presbyterian Church. It was the first senior high school to be established in the former British League of Nations mandate, mandate territory of Trans-Volta Togoland. The name “Mawuli” is a popular Ewe language, Ewe name in the Volta Region, and means "There is a God". The name and school motto “Head Heart Hand”, were submitted by students. Ho is the capital of the Ho Municipal Assembly and the Volta Region of Ghana. The city lies between Mount Adaklu and Mount Galenukui or Togo Atakora Range, and is home to the Volta Regional Museum, a cathedral, and a prison. Provisional National Defence Council
The Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) was the name of the Ghanaian government after the People's National Party's elected government was overthrown by Jerry Rawlings, the former head of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council, in a coup d'état on 31 December 1981. He remained in power until 7 January 1993. In a statement, Rawlings said that a "holy war" was necessary due to the PNP's failure to provide effective leadership and the collapse of the national economy and state services. Air Marshal Achilles Harry Kwami Dumashie (4 June 1938 - 20 December 2002), often known as Harry Dumashie, was a Ghanaian soldier. He served as Chief of Air Staff and as Ghanaian Chief of Defence Staff from 1992 to 1996. Early life and education Dumashie was born at Dzelukope in the Volta Region of Ghana. His secondary school education was at Mawuli School at Ho which he attended between 1955 and 1959. He proceeded to the Ghana Military Academy where he received his military training. Oscar Korbla Mawuli Awuku (born 18 May 1999), better known as Yonga Arts, the name of his artistic brand, is a Ghanaian body artist, painter, and sculptor.
