Mavin Records (also known as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty) is a Nigerian corporation and record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012. The label's inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo' Hits Records, a record label Don Jazzy and D'banj. The label is home to recording artists such as Rema (musician), Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon (singer), Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Magixx (singer), Magixx, Boy Spyce, Bayanni, and Lifesize Teddy. It also houses producers such as Don Jazzy, Altims, London Record Society, London, Baby Fresh, and Andre Vibez. In 2014, DJ Big N became the label's official disc jockey. D'Prince, Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks and Iyanya were all formerly signed to the label. On 8 May 2012, the label released its compilation album ''Solar Plexus (album), Solar Plexus''. Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe (born 18 October 1985), popularly known as Wande Coal, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Early life Wande Coal was born on 18 October 1985 in Lagos Island, Lagos state, Nigeria, to Chief Ibukun Olufunto and Omolara Oluwayemisi Ojosipe. He is the first of two children. Oluwaseyi Akerele, popularly known as Shizzi, is a Nigerian platinum record producer, disc jockey and songwriter. Music career 2009–2015: Early life and career Shizzi started out as a drummer in church. Divine Ikubor (born 1 May 2000), popularly known as Rema, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and rapper. He gained recognition with his 2019 song " Dumebi". That same year, he signed with D'Prince's record label, Jonzing World. "Dorobucci" is a song recorded by The Mavins, a collective composed of Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di'Ja and D'Prince. Released on May 1, 2014, the song received generally positive reviews from music critics. Positive remarks went towards its production, instrumentation and composition. On the contrary, the music video received mixed reviews. While some critics described the video as brilliant, others said it was dull and not up to par.
