Mauro Ravnić
Mauro Ravnić (born 29 November 1959) is a Croatian retired Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He spent his 17-year professional career with HNK Rijeka, Rijeka in his homeland, and Real Valladolid, Valladolid and UE Lleida, Lleida in Spain. Subsequently, he worked as a goalkeeper coach and manager in the latter country. Club career Born in Rijeka, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Ravnić started playing with hometown's HNK Rijeka, NK Rijeka, making his professional debuts at the age of 18 and eventually appearing in over 200 official games. He moved abroad in 1988, signing with La Liga club Real Valladolid at the same time as compatriot Janko Janković – his teammate at Rijeka – and was an essential unit in 1988–89 La Liga, his first year, as the Castile and León team finished sixth and 1988–89 Copa del Rey, reached the final of the Copa del Rey. The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Presidente de la República (1932–36) and Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
