Maurice Lim
Maurice Lim (born 1984) is a Dutch Figure skating, figure skater who was a two-time champion of the Dutch Figure Skating Championships. He won his first championships at the age of 14 and Alexei Mishin's considered him one of the top talents of his time. The Dutch Figure Skating Championships ( nl, Nederlandse kampioenschappen kunstschaatsen) are a figure skating national championship held annually to determine the national champions of the Netherlands. Alexei Mishin
Alexei Nikolayevich Mishin (russian: link=no, Алексей Николаевич Мишин; born 8 March 1941) is a Russian figure skating coach and former pair skater. With partner Tamara Moskvina, he is the 1969 World silver medalist and Soviet national champion. Mishin is based in Saint Petersburg at Yubileyny Sports Palace. His former students include Olympic champions Alexei Urmanov, Alexei Yagudin, and Evgeni Plushenko. Mishin also runs summer seminars. Among the skaters who have attended those are Stéphane Lambiel and Sarah Meier. He has authored several books on the biomechanics of figure skating. Early years Born in Sevastopol, Mishin spent his childhood in Tbilisi and later moved to Leningrad with his family. He was interested in mechanics from an early age. Ridderkerk () is a town and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of in and covers an area of of which is covered by water. European Figure Skating Championships
The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships was held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors, all men from Germany and Austria. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union.
