Maurice Blocker
Maurice Blocker (born May 15, 1963) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1982 to 1995. He was a two-time welterweight world champion, having held the WBC title from 1990 to 1991, and the IBF title from 1991 to 1992. He also challenged for the WBC super welterweight title in 1993. Professional boxing career Blocker became a professional boxer in 1982. He lost his first opportunity to win a title in 1987 to Lloyd Honeyghan. In 1990 he captured the lineal and WBC welterweight titles from Marlon Starling, but lost them during his next fight to Simon Brown. In 1991 he defeated Glenwood Brown to capture the vacant IBF welterweight title. He defended the title successfully once against Luis Garcia. In 1993 moved up a weight class to fight Terry Norris for the WBC light middleweight title, he was TKO'd. The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza St. Louis is a historic hotel and apartment complex located at 212 N. Kingshighway Boulevard in the Central West End of St. Louis, Missouri. Sands Atlantic City was a casino and hotel that operated from August 13, 1980 until November 11, 2006 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was formerly known as the Brighton Hotel & Casino. Saoul Paul Mamby (June 4, 1947 – December 19, 2019) was an American professional boxer who fought between 1969 and 2008. He held the WBC super lightweight title from 1980 to 1982. Personal Mamby was born in South Bronx, New York, to Victoria, of Spanish descent, and father, Robert, from Jamaica. He converted to Judaism at age 4, and went to Hebrew School at the Bronx's Mount Horeb Synagogue. Mamby became interested in boxing while on vacation in Jamaica. The Mirage is a defunct casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. The 65-acre property included a casino and 3,044 rooms. Resorts Casino Hotel is a hotel and casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Resorts brought gaming to Atlantic City in 1978 as the first American casino outside Nevada when it opened in 1978.
