Cape Maude
The Holland Range () is a rugged coastal mountain range in the Ross Dependency, Antarctica, on the west coast of the Ross Ice Shelf. It is about long. Location The Holland Range lies just west of the Ross Ice Shelf and extends from Robb Glacier in the northeast to Lennox-King Glacier in the south. To the north of the range is the "island" that holds Cape Lyttelton. To the west, on the west side of Robb Glacier, is the Queen Elizabeth Range (Antarctica), Queen Elizabeth Range. To the south, across the Lennox-King Glacier, is the Queen Alexandra Range. The range was named by the Ross Sea Committee for Sir Sidney Holland, who as Prime Minister of New Zealand supported that nation's participation in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1956–58). Mount Maude
Mount Maude is the 15th highest peak in Washington state. The peak is located in the Entiat Mountains, a subrange of the North Cascades. It is in the Glacier Peak Wilderness, at the headwaters of the Entiat River. The peak was given its name by Albert H. Sylvester in honor of Frederick Stanley Maude. The mountain from the south side consists of mostly talus with small rocky outcroppings, often compared with mountains in the Colorado Rockies. The northeast side is much different, with a steep rocky summit sheltering the small Entiat Glacier. Most climbers will climb Maude, Seven Fingered Jack, and sometimes Mount Fernow in the same trip. Maude is a village on the north bank of the Murrumbidgee River in New South Wales, Australia. It is in between Hay, New South Wales, Hay and Balranald, New South Wales, Balranald in Hay Shire. It is 55 kilometres downstream from Hay and 25 kilometres upstream from the junction of the Lachlan River with the Murrumbidgee. Maude, South Australia
Maude is a locality on the Goyder Highway in the Mid North region of South Australia. The locality of Maude occupies the entire Hundred of Maude from which it derives its name. The Hundred of Maude was renamed in 1918 after General Maude as part of the programme of alteration of "names of enemy origin". The Hundred of Maude had previously been the Hundred of Schomburgk, named in 1880 for Dr Richard Von Schomburgk, the second director of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Maude includes the former town of Florieton. Florieton was named in 1882 for Florence Annie Price, the daughter-in-law of the Governor of South Australia, William Jervois. A school opened in 1890, but along with the rest of the town has long disappeared. The Maude system is an implementation of rewriting logic. It is similar in its general approach to Joseph Goguen's OBJ3 implementation of equational logic, but based on rewriting logic rather than order-sorted equational logic, and with a heavy emphasis on powerful metaprogramming based on reflection. Maude is free software, and tutorials are available online. It was originally developed at SRI International, but is now developed by a diverse collaboration of researchers.
