Matīss Akuraters (born June 7, 1982) is a Latvian musician – percussionist. Biography Akuraters was born June 7, 1982, in Riga, Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, Latvian SSR, Soviet Union. His mother Ieva Akuratere is a well-known Latvian musician; his father Sergejs Akuraters is a photographer. In his childhood Matīss Akuraters studied piano and clarinet in music school. Akuraters's professional musical career began at age of 16 when he started collaboration with hip hop music, hip hop artists such as Gustavo and Ozols. Matīss Edmunds Kivlenieks (26 August 1996 – 4 July 2021) was a Latvian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for Prizma Riga of the Latvian Hockey Higher League (LHL), the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL), and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL) between 2012 and 2021.
