Matías Cahais
Matías Cahais (born 24 December 1987) is an Argentine football central defender currently playing for Curicó Unido. Club career Cahais is a product of the Boca Juniors youth team, he made his debut for the first team at the age of 17 on 26 June 2005 in a 0–0 draw with Quilmes Atlético Club. 3 July 2005, Cahais scored his first goal for Boca in a game against Almagro, but it is not recorded as an official goal, as the game was abandoned and the game was awarded to Almagro with a default score of 2–0. After some offers from European clubs, 21 January 2008, Cahais signed a contract for the Dutch club FC Groningen, initially for a one-year-and-a-half deal, with the possibility of a definitive acquisition for a €2 million price, after the first period. Curicó Unido is a football club based in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. They currently play in the Primera B de Chile, the second level of the Chilean football system. They are currently managed by Héctor Almandoz. History Curicó Unido was founded on 26 February 1973, with ''Edmundo Rojas'' as the first President of the club. They became the fourth football team from the Curicó city to play at the professional level, after Alianza de Curicó, Luis Cruz Martínez and Bádminton de Curicó. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the '' Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Spanish American wars of independence and Brazilian Independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''Liberators of America Cup''". The CONMEBOL Recopa Sudamericana (), also known as Recopa Sudamericana or CONMEBOL Recopa, and simply as Recopa (, ; "Winners' Cup"), is an annual international club Association football, football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1988. The 2006 Recopa Sudamericana (officially the 2006 Recopa Visa Sudamericana for sponsorship reasons) was the 14th Recopa Sudamericana, an annual football match between the winners of the previous season's Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana competitions. This edition was played under a two-legged series after several editions played in neutral venues. The match was contested by São Paulo, winners of the 2005 Copa Libertadores, and defending champions Boca Juniors, winners of the 2005 Copa Sudamericana and appearing in their third consecutive final. As both teams have won the competition twice before, this edition determined who will become the first of the Recopa Sudamericana. 2007 South American Youth Championship
The 2007 South American Youth Championship (Sudamericano Sub-20) was the 23rd edition of the competition. It was played in Paraguay between 7 and 28 January 2007, and was contested by all ten U-20 national football teams of CONMEBOL. This was the fourth time Paraguay hosted the competition. Brazil finished undefeated and won their ninth title, beating rivals Argentina in the final.
