Larry Matysik
Larry Matysik (April 26, 1947 – November 25, 2018) was an American professional wrestling commentator, promoter and author best known for his commentary on ''Wrestling at the Chase''. Biography In 1963, Matysik was hired by St. Louis promoter Sam Muchnick at the age of 16 to work as a publicist and office manager. In 1970, Matysik became an announcer for his promotion. Along with Gordon Solie and Lance Russell, Matysik was considered one of the top wrestling announcers in the country. He remained ''Wrestling at the Chase''s ringside announcer until the show went off the air in 1983. He would also occasionally do commentary for the American Wrestling Association. Behind the scenes, Matysik was responsible for several aspects of the business. He served as co-booker with Pat O'Connor (wrestler), Pat O'Connor and was partly responsible for the company's success in the late 1970s. Waldemar Matysik
Waldemar Józef Matysik (born 27 September 1961) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played mostly for Górnik Zabrze, where he scored seven goals in 127 matches. In 1987, he went abroad and played for AJ Auxerre in France (110 matches) and later for Hamburger SV (94 matches, one goal) in Germany. In 1993, he went to Wuppertaler SV (35 games, two goals), a year later Matysik chose VfB 1914 Wissen (26 games). His professional career ended at Rot-Weiss Essen, where during the years 1996–97 Matysik played 49 matches. He played for the Poland national team (55 matches) and was a participant at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, where Poland won the bronze medal and at the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
