Matti Leshem
Matti Leshem is an American film and TV producer. Leshem is the co-founder of New Mandate Films, an American film and television production company focused on Jewish history and literature. He is the son of Moshe Leshem, who was Israel's ambassador to Zaire and Denmark, and Alyssa Leshem of Boca Raton, Florida, who was a skin-care specialist there. Lesham earned a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College, and a master’s degree in directing from the American Film Institute. In 2014, with his wife Lynn Harris, he co-founded Weimaraner Republic Pictures, a film, TV and digital production company. He was a producer on the Barry Levinson 2021 film, '' The Survivor'', along with business partner and friend Joel Greenberg, who was an executive producer. Barry Levinson
Barry Lee Levinson (born April 6, 1942) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. Levinson won the Academy Award for Best Director for '' Rain Man'' (1988). His other best-known works are ''Diner'' (1982), '' The Natural'' (1984), '' Good Morning, Vietnam'' (1987), '' Bugsy'' (1991), and '' Wag the Dog'' (1997). In 2021, he co-executive produced the Hulu miniseries '' Dopesick'' and directed the first two episodes. ''The Survivor'' is a 2021 biographical drama film directed by Barry Levinson from a screenplay by Justine Juel Gillmer. Ben Foster stars as Harry Haft, a real-life survivor of the Nazi Germany Auschwitz concentration camp, where he boxed fellow inmates to survive. Vicky Krieps, Billy Magnussen, Peter Sarsgaard, John Leguizamo, and Danny DeVito co-star. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2021, and was released on HBO on April 27, 2022. The film received positive reviews from critics, particularly for Foster's lead performance. The film was Emmy nominated for Outstanding Television Movie. Joel Kenneth Greenberg (born 1957 or 1958) is an American billionaire businessman, and a co-founder of Susquehanna International Group. As of January 2025, ''Forbes'' estimated his net worth at US$2.3 billion. His mother Carol Potasnik Greenberg (1927–2013) was born in Yonkers, New York, and moved to Israel in her 40s. Greenberg earned a bachelor's degree from Binghamton University, where he met his fellow billionaire co-founder, Jeff Yass. He then earned a juris doctor degree from Columbia Law School.
