Matthias Kimmerl
Matthias Kimmerl (* 16 June 1818 in Kaiserebersdorf; † 13 January 1883 Kaiserebersdorf) was an Austrian judge. The Viennese ''Kimmerlgasse'' was named after him. Life and work The Kimmerl family is of Bavarian origin, "Kimmerl" used to mean "the darling" and comes from "worry", "sorrow" or "because of which one is most worried". Matthias Kimmerl was born as the son of the landowner and business operator Matthias Kimmerl (* 1786) and Theresia Kimmerl. He took over his father's business and function in the Kaiserbersdorf community. Matthias Kimmerl was the last to fulfill the post of imperial local judge of Kaiserebersdorf, which was incorporated into the 11th Viennese district of Vienna in 1892. In 1894 the street previously called Feldgasse was renamed Kimmerlgasse. Kimmerl's son, who was also called Matthias Kimmerl, owned large grounds in the area around Kaiserebersdorf, Rannersdorf and Schwechat. Matthias Laurenz Gräff (also known as ''Matthias Laurenz Gräff Ilpenstein''; born 19 July 1984) is an Austrian-Greek academic painter, private historian, politician, political activist and co-founder and organizer of the non-partisan platform Dialog im Kamptal. Since 2013 Gräff has served as chairman of the worldwide Family Association Gräff-Graeff and since 2024 as the official Representative of the NEOS parliamentary party for Greece. Helmuth Gräff
Helmuth Gräff (born 12 April 1958 in Gars am Kamp) is an Austrian painter, drawer and poet. Gräffs painterly style is rooted on the one hand in the artistic heritage of Vincent van Gogh, and on the other hand he can also be regarded as a precursor or heritage of the Neuen Wilde. Simmering (Vienna)
Simmering (; ) is the 11th Districts of Vienna, district of Vienna, Austria (). It borders the Danube and was established as a district in 1892. Simmering has several churches, some museums, schools, old castles, and four cemeteries, one of them being the Vienna Central Cemetery, Wiener Zentralfriedhof, one of the largest cemeteries of Europe. Schwechat () is a city southeast of Vienna known for the Vienna International Airport and Schwechater beer. The city is home to the Oil refinery, refineries of the Austrian national oil company OMV. Richard Gach
Richard Gach (31 October 1930 – 25 December 1991) was an Austrian architect, sketch artist, and watercolorist. He mainly designed schools for the city of Vienna and was involved in the construction of some residential buildings. Biography Private Richard Gach was born in Itzling (then the municipality Gnigl-Itzling, today district of Salzburg). The Gach-Gräff family included several artists. Gach married Johanna Henke, daughter of the chemist Richard Henke. One of their daughters, Martina Maria Elisabeth Gach, a professor for art, married the artist Helmuth Gräff, and was the mother of the artist Matthias Laurenz Gräff.
