Matthew Humphreys (cricketer)
Matthew James Humphreys (born 28 September 2002) is an Irish cricketer. He plays for the Northern Knights in Irish domestic cricket. Domestic Career A product of Lisburn Cricket Club, Humphreys played age-level cricket in Northern Ireland, captaining a Belfast under-14 side in 2017. Having played a pivotal part in helping the Ireland Under-19 team to qualify for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies, he was subsequently named in the Ireland under-19 squad for the World Cup, where he played in six matches during the tournament and took 11 wickets. He was named by Cricket Ireland in the core Northern Knights squad for the 2022 season. Irish Cricket Team In Bangladesh In 2022–23
The Ireland men's cricket team toured Bangladesh in March and April 2023 to play one Test, three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. This was the first-ever Test Match played between the two sides, and the first multi-format series the two sides played at senior level. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. North West Warriors
North West Warriors is one of four provincial cricket teams in Ireland. Along with the Leinster Lightning, Northern Knights and Munster Reds, it makes up the Inter-Provincial Championship, Inter-Provincial Cup & Inter-Provincial Trophy. The team is located in the west of Ulster province containing areas of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The team managed by North West of Ireland Cricket Union. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 over (cricket), overs. Together with first-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level.
