Matthew Gergely
Matthew Robert Gergely (October 5, 1979 – January 19, 2025) was an American politician. A Democrat, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 35th district from 2023 until his death in 2025. Early life and education Gergely was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and graduated from McKeesport High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Career From 2012 to 2017, Gergely was chief of staff to the mayor of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He was subsequently the business manager for McKeesport Area School District until 2020. Gergely then became McKeesport's chief revenue officer from 2022 to 2023.
