Matthew Clarke (Australian Footballer)
Matthew Clarke (born 18 September 1973) is a former professional Australian rules football player and current coach who is the head coach of Adelaide in the AFL Women's. Prior to coaching, he played in the Australian Football League (AFL), his career spanning four clubs and a total of 258 games between 1993 and 2007. He was known as one of the most effective tap ruckmen of his era. Early life Clarke was born in Camden, New South Wales to Rex and Eve Clarke and was the oldest of three children (Gavin and Susan). At six months his family moved to the United States where Clarke would live until the age of 2 and a half. Clarke then moved to Mount Gambier, South Australia where his father would work as a vet. 1990 AFL Draft
The 1990 AFL draft was the fifth annual draft of Australian rules footballers to the 14 clubs in the Australian Football League. It consisted of the national draft held at the end of the 1990 season, the pre-season draft held before the 1991 AFL season, and a mid-season draft. Clubs receive picks based on the reverse of the position in which they finish on the ladder during the season. This was introduced as an equalisation strategy in response to the increasing transfer fees and player salaries. National draft rules The minimum draft age for the 1990 national draft was 16. Duncan Kellaway
Duncan Kellaway (born 17 February 1973) is a former Australian rules football player who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Educated at Caulfield Grammar School, Kellaway debuted for Richmond in 1993, tallying 27 possessions in his first AFL match. He played State of Origin football on several occasions for Victoria, and retired in 2004 having played 180 senior games. He played just eight games in his final two seasons due to injuries. Nick Daffy
Nick Daffy (born 11 May 1973) is a former Australian rules football player who played in the AFL between 1992 and 2001 for the Richmond Football Club and then played one game in 2002 for the Sydney Swans Football Club. Early life Daffy grew up in Mount Gambier and started playing football for North Gambier Football Club in the under 10s. He showed talent from an early age and represented South Australia in the Under/13 Schoolboys football side, plus won the North Gambier Best & Fairest in U/14 and U/16.
