Matteo (song)
"Matteo" is a song by Polish-born singer Basia from her 2018 album ''Butterflies''. Overview "Matteo" is a mid-tempo bossa nova-influenced track, composed by Basia's guitarist, Giorgio Serci, and produced by Danny White and Basia. The song is based on an instrumental track called "Momentum" from Serci's 2009 album ''Silver Lining'', recorded and released with Roberto Manzin. Encouraged to contribute the lyrics, Basia struggled for a lengthy period of time, but when Giorgio's son, named Matteo, was born, she decided to write the lyrics about him and dedicate the song to his parents. "Matteo" was first showcased online in March, and officially released on April 6, 2018 as the lead single from ''Butterflies Butterflies are winged insects from the lepidopteran superfamily Papilionoidea, characterized by large, often brightly coloured wings that often fold together when at rest, and a conspicuous, fluttering flight. The oldest butterfly fossi ...''. Track listing *Download/ ...

Butterflies (Basia Album)
''Butterflies'' is the fifth studio album by Polish singer-songwriter Basia, released in 2018 by Shanachie Records. It is her first studio album in nine years since 2009's ''It's That Girl Again''. Overview The album was Basia's first studio release in nine years. The singer has described it as an album "about love – for life, for music and for people" and her jazziest record yet. She has also revealed that its original title was ''Be.Pop'', after one of the songs and as a reference to subgenre of jazz music, but her record company wasn't keen on the idea. To compromise, Basia suggested ''Be.Pop Butterfly'', but ultimately the title was changed to ''Butterflies''. Two songs on the album contain the word 'butterfly', including "Liang & Zhu" which tells about the Butterfly Lovers from a Chinese legend. Jazz Fusion
Jazz fusion (also known as jazz rock, jazz-rock fusion, or simply fusion) is a popular music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock began to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll. Jazz fusion arrangements vary in complexity. Some employ groove-based vamps fixed to a single key or a single chord with a simple, repeated melody. Others use elaborate chord progressions, unconventional time signatures, or melodies with counter-melodies. These arrangements, whether simple or complex, typically include improvised sections that can vary in length, much like in other forms of jazz. As with jazz, jazz fusion can employ brass and woodwind instruments such as trumpet and saxophone, but other instruments often substitute for these. A jazz fusion band is less likely to use ...

Danny White (musician)
Matt Bianco are a British band formed in 1983, performing sophisti-pop, jazz-funk and Latin-flavoured music. From around mid- to late-80s, the group scored a number of internationally charting singles, including " Get Out of Your Lazy Bed", " Whose Side Are You On?", " Half a Minute", " Yeh Yeh" and "Don't Blame It on That Girl". The group's name suggests that Matt Bianco is a person, often assumed to be an alias for the main member and front man Mark Reilly. According to the group, however, Matt is in fact "a made up spy, a secret agent; we loved spy TV themes and film scores; we were really into that 60s spy movie image". Initially, the line-up included Danny White and Basia Trzetrzelewska, who left the band to focus on Basia's solo career, but rejoined Matt Bianco briefly in mid-2000s. History Early years Matt Bianco was formed in 1983 by Mark Reilly (vocals), Danny White (keyboard), Kito Poncioni (bass) – all of whom had just left art pop group Blue Rondo à la Turk – a ...
