Mattawa Voyageurs
The Almaguin Spartans were a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in South River, Ontario. They play in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). They were originally the Mattawa Voyageurs of Mattawa, Ontario. History The Voyageurs were announced as a team in spring 2011. On September 16, 2011, the team played its first game, at home, against the Bobcaygeon Bucks. The Voyageurs lost the game in a shootout 5–4. On September 18, at home again, the Voyageurs picked up their first win, 5–4 in overtime over the Algoma Avalanche. In July 2014, the team was approved for relocation to South River, Ontario, where they became the Almaguin Spartans. In March 2015, Myles Pepin was promoted from assistant coach and was named the team's new head coach. During the 2018 playoffs, the Spartans swept their first three playoff series with nine straight wins before losing two games to the St. George Ravens in the final series. Sundridge, Ontario
Sundridge is a village in central Ontario, Canada, approximately 75 km south of North Bay, Ontario along Highway 11, on the shore of Lake Bernard. Temiscaming Titans
The Témiscaming Titans (French: Les Titans de Témiscaming) are a junior ice hockey, junior ice hockey team based in Témiscaming, Quebec, Témiscaming, Quebec, Canada. They are members of the North Division of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). The Titans play their home games at the 750 seat (900 capacity) Le Centre de Témiscaming. The team has had success, winning two division titles, won the regular season championship twice, appeared in the Russell Cup Finals four times, and won the Russell Cup in 2015 and 2022. New Tecumseth Civics
The New Tecumseth Civics were a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Alliston, Ontario. They played in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History The Alliston Coyotes joined the GMHL in spring 2013. The Coyotes played their first game, at home, on September 12, 2013. Hosting the Toronto Attack, the Coyotes lost 4-2. The first goal in team history was scored by Gordy Bonnel 18 seconds into the second period of play. Bruno Novotny played the first game in net, making 44 saves in the effort. On September 19, 2013, the Coyotes would pick up their first franchise win in an 8-1 victory over the Knights of Meaford. Filip Sedivy would pick up the eventual game-winning goal at 5:40 of the first period. In goal, Nicolas Lachance made 29 saves for the victory. Bradford Rattlers
The Bradford Rattlers are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based out of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario, and members of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League. The Rattlers, then known as the Bradford Bulls, were bought out towards the end of the 2005–06 season by a local group of investors for the purpose of moving the team up to Junior "A" from the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. History The Bradford Vasey Juniors were founded in 1971 as they joined the South-Central Junior "D" Hockey League. The league soon became the Central Junior "C", then the Mid-Ontario Junior "C", and finally after merging with the Georgian Junior "C" league became the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior "C" Hockey League. Their team's first championship was the Junior "D" OHA Cup in 1973. They won the All-Ontario Junior "D" title by defeating the Mitchell Hawks 4-games-to-1. The Kingsville Kings are a junior ice hockey team based in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the South Division of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). The team was known as the Tottenham Steam for its first six seasons and the Tottenham Thunder for the following three seasons.
