Matt Nieto (basketball)
Matthew Evan Nieto (born November 5, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey left winger for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the San Jose Sharks and the Colorado Avalanche. He was drafted by the Sharks in the second round, 47th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Early life and career Nieto is of Mexican-American descent. Nieto's father, Jesse, is a longshoreman, while his mother, Mary, is a Nordstrom makeup artist. Nieto grew up in Long Beach, California, in a dangerous neighborhood; his mother had stated: "There were drive-by shootings. He jokes about it, that Snoop Dogg lived around the corner. Emerson Albert Spratlen Etem (born June 16, 1992) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger and current co-owner of the Long Beach Shredders of the USPHL. He was originally selected in the first round, 29th overall, by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He has also played for the New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks. He retired in 2020 and became the head coach and general manager of the Missoula Jr. Bruins in the North American 3 Hockey League. United States Hockey League
The United States Hockey League (USHL) is the top junior ice hockey league sanctioned by USA Hockey. The league consists of 16 active teams located in the midwestern United States, for players between the ages of 16 and 21. The USHL is strictly amateur, allowing former players to compete in NCAA college hockey. Jonathon Merrill (born February 3, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils, Vegas Golden Knights, Detroit Red Wings, and Montreal Canadiens. USA Hockey National Team Development Program
The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) was started in 1996 by USA Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training. There are two teams in the program: under-17 and under-18. Both teams are based in Plymouth, Michigan. The stated goal of the NTDP is "to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on the U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers. Its efforts focus not only on high-caliber participation on the ice, but creating well-rounded individuals off the ice". While enrolled in the NTDP, players stay with billet families. Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, milk rejection, fluid coming from the nipple, a newly inverted nipple, or a red or scaly patch of skin.
