Tinfed was an American alternative rock group started in Sacramento, California. The final line-up consisted of vocalist and instrumentalist Rey Osburn, guitarist Eric Stenman, drummer Matt McCord, and bassist Rick Verrett. They released three studio albums: ''Synaptic Hardware'' (1993), ''Hypersonic Hyperphonic'' (1996) and ''Tried + True'' (2000). History Early years and indie releases (1992–2000) Tinfed was founded in Sacramento, California by Rey Osburn and Eric Stenman. Stenman and Osburn had previously performed together in the band Elegy, who had only released a 7" titled ''Dormant / Separated'' in 1990. Similar to that project, Tinfed's sound was heavily influenced by punk rock, industrial rock, and indie rock. Thrice is an American rock band from Irvine, California, formed in 1998. The group was founded by guitarist/vocalist Dustin Kensrue and lead guitarist Teppei Teranishi while they were in high school. Early in their career, the band was known for melodic hardcore punk music based in heavily distorted guitars, prominent lead guitar lines, and frequent changes in complex time signatures. This style is exemplified on their second album, '' The Illusion of Safety'' (2002) and their third album '' The Artist in the Ambulance'' (2003). Senses Fail is an American rock band formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 2001. Founded by vocalist Buddy Nielsen, drummer Dan Trapp, guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Dave Miller, and bassist James Gill (replaced by Mike Glita shortly after); the band has seen many lineup changes, with Nielsen being the only consistent member. Will Haven is an American metal band from Sacramento, California. Formed in 1995, the group released albums through several labels and toured with acts such as Deftones and Soulfly before going on hiatus in 2002. They regrouped in 2005 and have continued to record and tour since. ''Team Sleep'' is the only studio album by American rock band Team Sleep. It was largely produced by Greg Wells. It was released in Europe on May 9, 2005 and a day later in the United States through Maverick Records. Recording history The debut album by Team Sleep was supposed to be released in 2003 but was scrapped due to the premature leakage of demos from the album onto the internet. The band split for a brief period of time before joining together and making material for a new album. Issues with Maverick Records as well as commitments with other projects (most specifically singer Chino Moreno and his band Deftones) delayed the release of the album numerous times. In early 2005, the official May 10 release was announced for the States with the announcement of a new track list and a band site on Maverick's web site. Team Sleep is an American rock supergroup led by singer/guitarist Chino Moreno. Moreno is better known for fronting the Sacramento-based alternative metal band Deftones.
