Matt Matros
Matthew "Matt" Matros (born May 13, 1977) is a professional poker player and author from Brooklyn, New York, who has won three World Series of Poker events. Matros holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College. He is the author of the book ''The Making Of A Poker Player: How An Ivy League Math Geek Learned To Play Championship Poker'', and was a poker coach on the now defunct poker site, CardRunners. Live poker Matros won his first bracelet at the 2010 World Series of Poker Event 12: $1,500 Limit Hold’em earning $189,870. Hasan Habib (born 19 April 1962 in Karachi, Pakistan) is a Pakistani American professional poker player. During his early years in Pakistan, Habib was the Pakistan 14-and-under National Tennis Champion. Habib went to America at the age of 18 to study business at the University of Redlands. He also once owned a nationwide chain of video stores. He began playing casino poker in 1985, and had his first poker tournament cash in 1993. In 2004, he finished second to Martin De Knijff in the World Poker Tour (WPT) $25,000 Championship, receiving a $1,372,223 prize. Later in the year he finished on the television bubble at the WPT $15,000 Five-Diamond World Poker Classic, gaining a further $108,906. The 2011 World Series of Poker was the 42nd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). The WSOP is the most prestigious poker tournament in the world with the winner of the Main Event considered to be the World Champion. Since 1976, a bracelet has been awarded to the winner of every event at the annual WSOP. Even if the victory occurred before 1976, WSOP championships are now counted as "bracelets". It was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada between May 27 – July 16, 2012, with the final table of the Main Event delayed until late October.
