Matt Ikuvalu
Matt Ikuvalu (born 9 November 1993) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a er or for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NRL. He previously played for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL. Background Ikuvalu was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and is of Tongan and European descent. He played junior rugby league for the Gosford Kariong Storm. He later transferred to the Erina Eagles while attending Narara Valley High School. Ikuvalu played for Manly-Warringah in the Under 20's competition, The Toyota Cup, in 2011 and 2012. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. It took thirty years for the club to make the grand final, which they did in 1976 and 1977, losing on both occasions. However, this period foreshadowed their most successful period in the early 1980s, when they won four premierships and qualified for five grand finals in six seasons. 2021 Sydney Roosters Season
The 2021 Sydney Roosters season is the 114th in the club's history and they are competing in the 2021 NRL season. The team is coached by Trent Robinson, coaching the club for his 9th consecutive season. Jake Friend started the season as club captain for the 7th consecutive season, however, was forced into medical retirement on 8 April 2021 due to multiple head-knocks.
