Matt Bentley (footballer)
Matthew Bentley (born 23 May 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for USL League One club Chattanooga Red Wolves. Career Amateur and college Born in Greater London, Bentley went to Trinity Catholic High School, Woodford Green near Woodford Green during his teenage years. In 2016, Bentley headed to the United States, through the U.S Sports Scholarships organization, which helps English footballers attend an American post-secondary institution to earn a degree and play college soccer. Bentley would move to the United States to play college soccer for the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats for his freshman through junior seasons. In his time at West Virginia Wesleyan, Bentley made 54 appearances, scoring 25 goals. Ahead of his senior season, Bentley transferred from West Virginia Wesleyan to Missouri State University. Woodford Green is an area of Woodford, London, Woodford in East London, England, within the London Borough of Redbridge. It adjoins Buckhurst Hill to the north, Woodford Bridge to the east, South Woodford to the south, and Chingford to the west. The 2021 USL League Two season is the 27th season of the USL League Two, the top pre-professional soccer league in the United States, since its establishment in 1995. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The regular season started on May 5 and concluded on July 18. 75 teams participated in this season. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league will feature 144 teams for the 2025 season, split into nineteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The 2020–21 season was the 106th season of the Isthmian League, which is an English football competition featuring semi-professional and amateur clubs from London, East and South East England. The league operates four divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3, and three divisions, North, South Central and South East at Step 4 of the National League System. This was the third season since the former South Division was subdivided into the South Central and South East divisions. The 2020 MLS SuperDraft was the 21st edition of the SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The 2020 SuperDraft was the first SuperDraft held exclusively via conference call and web streaming.
