Matilda Algotsson
Matilda Algotsson (born 29 May 1998) is a Swedish figure skater. She is the 2017 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, the 2015 Volvo Open Cup champion, and the 2019 Swedish national champion. She placed 13th at the 2016 and 2017 European Championships. Personal life Matilda Algotsson was born on 29 May 1998 in Stockholm, Sweden. The middle child of Johanna and Anders Algotsson, she has an older sister, Emma, and younger brother, Rickard. Career Algotsson started skating in 2003. 2013–2014 season In the 2013–2014 season, Algotsson won the Swedish national junior title and three international medals on the junior level – bronze at the Toruń Cup, silver at the Sarajevo Open, and bronze at the Nordics. 2020 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 World Figure Skating Championships were scheduled to be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from March 16 to March 22, 2020. Figure skaters would have competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. This would have been the first time that Montreal hosted the World Figure Skating Championships since 1932. The competition was supposed to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2021 World Championships. The competition was cancelled on March 11 due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, with the possibility of being held later in the year, but not within the current season. It was the second time the event had been cancelled for reasons other than a World War, after the 1961 World Championships were cancelled following the Sabena Flight 548 crash. Joshi Helgesson
Joshi Helgesson (born 7 June 1993) is a Swedish retired figure skater. She is the 2014 Bavarian Open champion, 2011 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist, and three-time Swedish national champion. She and her sister Viktoria are the only siblings to finish together in the top 5 of a major championship as single skaters, a feat achieved during the 2015 European Championships. The 2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held from 14–20 March 2016 in Debrecen, Hungary. 2015–16 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2015–16 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 19th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2015–16 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. At each event, skaters also earned points toward qualifying for the final.
