Mathieu Choinière
Mathieu Choinière (born February 7, 1999) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Swiss Super League club Grasshopper and the Canada national team. Early life Choinière was born in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec and grew up in the neighbouring Saint-Alexandre, Quebec. He began playing soccer with Celtix du Haut-Richelieu, before moving on to CS St-Hubert. In 2011, he joined the Montreal Impact Academy and became the first player in the organization's history to play for the U13, U14, U16, U18 and U19 teams prior to joining the first team. Club career CF Montréal Choinière signed an MLS contract with the Montreal Impact, later renamed CF Montréal, on July 17, 2018. The 2018 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was the 6th edition of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship (27th edition if all eras included), the men's under-20 international football tournament organized by CONCACAF. It was hosted at United States between 1 – 21 November 2018. A new format was announced, removing the regional Central American and Caribbean qualifiers and guaranteeing each entrant a minimum of four competitive games. Since there is no under-20 UEFA tournament, the team competes for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The football tournament at the 2017 Jeux de la Francophonie took place from 21 to 30 July in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The organization of the football competition has been considered to be a fiasco by some participating countries. The tournament was supposed to follow the FIFA tiebreaker rules. However, the organizing committee decided to change the rules in the midst of the competition in favour of Ivory Coast, thus eliminating Guinea from the group stage. Due to these changes, D.R.
