Mater Suspiria Vision is a worldwide collective founded by producer, filmmaker and artist Cosmotropia de Xam. The band's debut release, ''Second Coming'', was released on Disaro in February 2010. Mater Suspiria Vision are often recognized as pioneers of the witch house genre and visual aesthetics. Witch House (music Genre)
Witch house is a microgenre of electronic music characterized by dark occult themes and visual aesthetics that emerged in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The style is heavily influenced by chopped and screwed hip hop, as well as industrial music, ethereal wave and dream pop. Witch house incorporates synths, drum machines, obscure samples, droning repetition, and vocals that are heavily altered, ethereal, and/or indiscernible. The witch house visual aesthetic includes occult, witchcraft, shamanism, terror and horror-inspired artworks, collages and photographs as well as significant use of hidden messages and typographic elements such as Unicode symbols. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. AllMusic defines industrial music as the "most abrasive and aggressive fusion of rock and electronic music" that was "initially a blend of avant-garde electronics experiments ( tape music, musique concrète, white noise, synthesizers, sequencers, etc.) and punk provocation". Pendu Sound Recordings
Pendu Sound Recordings was an independent record label used by aTelecine, Chelsea Wolfe, Azar Swan, Mater Suspiria Vision, White Ring, Talibam!, Von Haze, and others. The label, also known as Pendu Sound, was started by Todd Brooks in 2005 for his PENDV projects and went defunct in 2013. The parent company ''Pendu NYC''  was known for its "Pendu Disco" dance parties. History The ''Pendu Sound''  compilation album ''Getting rid of the glue''  with Excepter and Daniel Carter was listed as number 70 in Thurston Moore's "Top 80 of 2006". The White Ring ''Chaind Vol. 1''  DJ mix released in August 2011 contains remixes of own tracks, NIИ, Rihanna, and others. Also in August the LP ''The Falcon and the Pod'' was released.
