Mariya Mitsova (; born 20 November 1996) is a Bulgarian badminton player. Mitsova represented her country at the Badminton at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. In 2016, she became the runner-up at the Croatian International tournament in the mixed doubles event partnered with Alex Vlaar. Alex Christiaan Vlaar (; born 31 July 1996) is a Dutch-Bulgarian badminton player. He was born in Lelystad, the Netherlands. His father Chris Vlaar is a Dutch rally car driver and badminton coach, his mother is former badminton player Emilia Dimitrova who is also a coach. The Badminton World Federation, aka BWF, is the international governing body for the sport of badminton approved by the International Olympic Committee.
