Matabeleland Tuskers
The Matabeleland Tuskers is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team, based in the Bulawayo Metropolitan and Matabeleland North area. They play their home matches at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. They were formed in 2009, when the domestic game in Zimbabwean cricket was restructured. History In their first season, they suffered disappointing results, placing fourth in the Logan Cup, and failing to qualify for the final of either the one-day or Twenty20 competitions. The following season, they qualified for the final of the Logan Cup as league runners-up, and despite missing their best four batsmen in the final, defeated the Mountaineers by 18 runs to claim their first title. They defended their title the following year, winning five of their eight matches to clinch consecutive wins in the Logan Cup: the first team in the franchise-era to achieve the feat. 2016–17 Pro50 Championship
The 2016–17 Pro50 Championship was the fifteenth edition of the Pro50 Championship, a List A cricket tournament in Zimbabwe. The competition ran from 10 February to 6 June 2017. It was originally scheduled to start in May, but was brought forward to February in preparation for Zimbabwe's One Day International (ODI) series against Afghanistan. The opening fixtures replaced the scheduled fixtures in the Logan Cup, which were rescheduled for later in the competition. Thamsanqa Keith Nunu (born 18 August 1998) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. In February 2017, he was named in an academy squad by Zimbabwe Cricket to tour England later that year. Slow Left-arm Orthodox
Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of left-arm finger spin bowling in the sport of cricket. Left-arm orthodox spin is bowled by a left-arm bowler using the fingers to spin the ball from right to left of the cricket pitch (from the bowler's perspective). Sean Williams (cricketer)
Sean Colin Williams (born 26 September 1986) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer and currently captains the national team in Test cricket, who plays all formats primarily as a batting all-rounder. In September 2019, Zimbabwe Cricket named him as Zimbabwe's captain, after Hamilton Masakadza retired from international cricket. Later the same month, Williams captained Zimbabwe for the first time, in the opening Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series, against Nepal. Sikandar Raza
Sikandar Raza Butt (} ; born 24 April 1986) is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer, who plays all formats primarily as a batter. Born in Sialkot, Raza emigrated to Zimbabwe in 2002 along with his family. He soon became one of the best batsman in the domestic competition and caught the eye of the Zimbabwe selectors. The only problem was citizenship issues, which was granted in 2011. Early life Raza was born in Sialkot to a Punjabi speaking Kashmiri family. He studied at the Pakistan Air Force Public School Lower Topa for three years and aspired to be a Pakistan Air Force pilot, but his dreams were cut short when he failed a vision test that was mandatory for selection in the Pakistan airforce at that time. Bright Phiri (born 9 March 1999) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2017–18 Logan Cup on 2 May 2018. Craig Richard Ervine (born 19 August 1985) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. Off Break
Off spin is a type of finger spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners are right-handed spin bowlers who use their fingers to spin the ball. Their normal delivery is an off break, which spins from left to right (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batsman, this is from his off side to the leg side (that is, towards the right-handed batsman, or away from a left-handed batsman).
