Masum Ahmed Chowdhury
Masum Ahmed Chowdhury ( – 19 March 2012) Bangladeshi diplomat. He is the former High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Early life Born , Choudhury studied at St. Gregory's High School and College, St. Gregory's High School. He graduated from the University of Dhaka and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Career Chowdhury taught history in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Jagannath College in 1960s. He joined the information cadre after passing the Central Superior Services examination of Pakistan. After the Independence of Bangladesh, he joined the Foreign Service of Bangladesh. In 1977, Chowdhury served as the second secretary at the embassy of Bangladesh in Kenya. Chowdhury served as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Maldives. The University of Dhaka (), also known as Dhaka University (DU), is a public university, public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 1921, it is the oldest active university in the country. The University of Dhaka was founded in 1921 under the Dacca University Act 1920 of the Indian Legislative Council. The establishment of the university in Dhaka was initiated with 600 acres of land requisitioned by the British government in 1905 after a new province of East Bengal and Assam was formed with Dhaka as its capital.
