Masterless Woman
''Masterless Woman'' (Hungarian: ''A gazdátlan asszony'') is a 1944 Hungarian comedy film directed by László Sipos and starring Erzsi Simor, István Nagy and Ida Turay. Rîpeanu p.111 It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director János Pagonyi. Katalin Karády was originally intended to play the lead role, lead before being replaced by Simor. Synopsis In a French hotel, Éva attracts the attention of other guests. She is in fact married to Ádám, but feels the loving attention he showed to her during their early courtship has now gone. She indulges in flirtations, but comes to understand the meaning of true love with her absent husband. László Sipos (1918–1944) was a Hungarian film producer and film director, director.Juhász p.144 He also worked as a location manager and assistant director. Having established himself as a director, he was killed in airstrike, air raid during the Second World War at the age of twenty six. Nusi Somogyi
Nusi Somogyi (born Anna Irén Somogyi; March 3, 1890 – October 8, 1963) was a Hungarian film and stage actress. Biography Somogyi was the daughter of master brewer István Somogyi Hollósi and Anna Mesterházy. She studied at the Deák tér Reformed Civil School in Budapest, and then became a student at the acting school of the National Actors' Association. She appeared on stage in Kecskemét with Miklós Mariházy's troupe, then Sándor Rott invited her to the Folies Caprice and was also a member of the Jardin de Paris. In the summer of 1910, she joined the National Theatre of Szeged, where Jenő Krémer was the director. Then, at the invitation of László Beöthy, she signed a contract with the Király Theater, where she replaced Juci Lábass in the Sybill operetta after the 35th performance until the 100th performance, due to the actress' illness.
