Massimo Maffezzoli
Massimo Maffezzoli (born 21 February 1976) is an Italian basketball head coach, currently managing Sidigas Avellino in the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the Basketball Champions League. He is assistant coach of Romeo Sacchetti for the Italian national team. Career Massimo Maffezzoli started his coach-career managing the youth sector of Scaligera Verona, SanZeno Verona, VL Pesaro, Aquila Trento and UC Casalpusterlengo from 1997 to 2008. He later started a long career as assistant-coach of many clubs like Pallacanestro Trapani, Rimini Crabs, Veroli Basket, and Virtus Roma (in Serie A). On 2 July 2013 Maffezzoli became assistant coach of Dinamo Sassari. From 2016 to 2018, he was assistant coach for New Basket Brindisi. In 2018 Maffezzoli became assistant coach for Scandone Avellino. Lega Basket Serie A
The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The LBA plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 16 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the Serie A2 and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. A total of 99 teams have competed in the LBA since its inception. Seventeen teams have been crowned champions, with Olimpia Milano having won the title a record 28 times, and Virtus Bologna 16 times. Victoria Libertas (also known as "VL" or in Italian ''Vuelle''), full name Unione Sportiva Victoria Libertas Pallacanestro, is a professional basketball team that is based in Pesaro, Italy. The Italian Basketball Cup (Italian: Coppa Italiana di Pallacanestro), or Coppa Italia, is an annual professional basketball competition between pro clubs from the Lega Basket Serie A, Italian Basketball League (LBA). It is Italy's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Italy's second-tier cup competition, the Italian Legadue Cup. The 2014–15 Lega Basket Serie A was the 93rd season of the Lega Basket Serie A, the highest professional basketball league in Italy. The regular season started on 12 October 2014 and finished on 10 May 2015, after all teams had played 30 games each. The eight best ranked teams advanced to the play-off phase whilst Pasta Reggia Caserta was relegated to the Serie A2 after finishing last in the league table. Unione Cestistica Casalpusterlengo, also known as U.C.C. and Assigeco Casalpusterlengo, is an Italian professional basketball club base in Codogno, Lombardy.
