Massport
Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is the port authority for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It owns and operates three airports, Logan International Airport, Hanscom Field, and Worcester Regional Airport, and public terminals in the Port of Boston. Massport is a financially self-sustaining public authority whose transportation facilities generate more than $600 million annually; no state tax dollars are used to fund operations or capital improvements at Massport facilities. Its headquarters is located in the Logan Office Center, adjacent to Logan Airport in East Boston, Massachusetts. Worcester Regional Airport is three miles (5 km) west of Worcester, in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The main property lies within municipalities of Worcester and Leicester, with supporting facilities in Paxton. Once owned by the City of Worcester, the airport has been owned and operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) since June 2010. Lisa Wieland is the current president of National Grid's New England business and former CEO of the Massachusetts Port Authority. Early life and education Wieland obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to get a masters of business administration at Harvard Business School. Hanscom Field
Laurence G. Hanscom Field , commonly known as Hanscom Field, is a public use airport operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority, located outside Boston in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. Hanscom is mainly a general aviation airport, the largest in New England. Both runways can accommodate jets, and are used by Hanscom Air Force Base, a defense-research facility next to Hanscom Field. It is a popular training airport, with more than 40 rental aircraft on the field. The Civil Air Terminal building hosts two flight schools. Edward Thomas Hanley (December 16, 1928 – June 12, 2007) was an American government official who served as Massachusetts Secretary of Administration and Finance and vice chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. Louis R. "Lou" Nickinello (born September 8, 1940 in East Boston) is an American businessman and politician who served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1971 to 1983. In 1982 he was an unsuccessful candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts. Nickinello was appointed Executive Director of the Massachusetts Port Authority by Governor Edward J.
