Masar Caka
Masar Caka (1946 - 2000) was an Albanian painter. He was a professor at the University of Pristina and the Academy of Figurative Arts of Kosovo, located in Pristina. Masar Caka was born on 13 April 1946 in Gjakova, Yugoslavia Yugoslavia (; sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=" / ", Jugoslavija, Југославија ; sl, Jugoslavija ; mk, Југославија ;; rup, Iugoslavia; hu, Jugoszlávia; rue, label=Pannonian Rusyn, Югославия, translit=Juhoslavija .... He graduated from the Academy of Figurative Arts of Belgrade in 1972. In 1982 he received a master's degree from the same institution. Since 1976 he was a member of the Academy of Figurative Arts of Kosovo. Masar Caka was a professor at the faculty of arts of the University of Pristina. Later he taught at the Academy of Figurative Arts of Kosovo. He died in 2000. His works, which many times consisted of visionary human forms influenced many artists of the younger generation. University Of Pristina (1969–1999)
The University of Pristina was founded in the Socialist Autonomous Province of Kosovo, Socialist Republic of Serbia, Yugoslavia, in the city of Pristina, for the academic year 1969–1970 and functioned until 1999. However, owing to political upheaval, war, successive mutual expulsions of faculty of one ethnicity or the other, and resultant pervasive ethnic-based polarisation, there came to be two disjoint institutions using the same name, albeit idiosyncratically to reflect ethnic identity. Gjakova
Gjakova, ) and Đakovica ( sr-Cyrl, Ђаковица, ) is the seventh largest city of Kosovo and seat of Gjakova Municipality and Gjakova District. The city has 40,827 inhabitants, while the municipality has 94,556 inhabitants. Geographically, it is located in the south-western part of Kosovo, about halfway between the cities of Peja and Prizren. It is approximately inland from the Adriatic Sea.
