María José Segarra
María José Segarra Crespo (born 1963), is a Spanish jurist, Attorney General between 2018 and 2020. She began her career in the prosecutor's office in 1987. From 2004 to 2018 she was in charge of the Prosecutor's Office of Province of Seville. Career Early career and education She graduated in law from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She entered the Prosecutor Service on 14 September 1987 for the Territorial Court of Province of Barcelona, serving in the courts of Sant Boi de Llobregat, Sabadell and Barcelona, as well as coordinating the Children's Service. Chief Prosecutor of Seville (2004–2018) In 1993 she moved to Seville and in 2004, when she was 41 years old, she was appointed chief prosecutor of the Seville under Cándido Conde-Pumpido as head of the State Attorney General's Office becoming the second youngest chief prosecutor in Spain and the third woman to reach a head in this profession. The Most Excellent ( (male) or (female), literally "Most Excellent Lord/Lady") is an honorific prefix that is traditionally applied to certain people in Spain and certain Spanish-speaking countries. Following Spanish tradition, it is an '' ex officio'' style (the holder has it as long as they remain in office, in the most important positions of state) and is used in written documents and very formal occasions. The prefix is similar (but not equal) to that of " His/Her Excellency", but in the 19th century "The Most Excellent" began to replace the former. Murder Of Marta Del Castillo
On January 24, 2009, Marta del Castillo Casanueva (born July 19, 1991), a Spanish high school student, disappeared and was murdered in Seville, Andalusia. Del Castillo's disappearance was considered a case that "impacted Spanish society" and received significant coverage by the Spanish media. Del Castillo's ex-boyfriend, Miguel Carcaño Delgado, emerged as a prime suspect in her disappearance.
