María Conde
María Conde Alcolado (born 14 January 1997) is a Spanish basketball player for USK Praha of the Czech Women's Basketball League. Conde also plays for the Spanish national team. She was selected 27th overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2019 WNBA draft. Her WNBA rights are currently held by the Golden State Valkyries. Club career Conde played in local club CB Estudiantes since the age of 10, soon developing into one of their best players and winning regional and state youth tournaments. In the 2014-15 season, still in junior years, she made her debut with the senior team in the Spanish second tier league, averaging 15.8 PPP and 6.7 RPP. Her performances attracted the attention of several American colleges, and she opted for Florida State University after talking to fellow Spaniard Leticia Romero. Liga Femenina 2 is the second division of the women's league of basketball in Spain. It was founded in 2001. Competition format Teams in this league are divided into two groups by geographical criteria. The top four teams of each one, qualify to the promotion playoffs. The Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Femenina Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of sports league, league competition for women's basketball in Spain.
