Mary Dinan
Mary Sinnott born 1943 in Aughfad, County Wexford, Ireland as Mary Dinan, was a former camogie and badminton player. Biography Mary Dinan was born Mary Sinnott in Aughfad, County Wexford in 1943. She was the daughter of John and Mai Sinnott (nee O'Connor). She had two brothers, Nicholas and Sean. Her uncle was Mick O'Hanlon a hurler in the Wexford All-Ireland winning teams in 1955 and 1956. She attended Loreto Convent in Wexford. She married Gay Dinan in Taghmon in 1968, and the couple moved to Dublin. They had one daughter, Elizabeth (born 1969). Camogie She was selected on the camogie Camogie All Stars, team of the century in 2004, and winner of All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship, All Ireland medals in 1968 and 1969. She played club Camogie with Taghmon GAA#Camogie, Taghmon and Oylegate-Glenbrien GAA#Camogie, Oylegate-Glenbrien. Badminton

Irish Open (badminton)
The Irish International or Irish Open in badminton is an international open held in Ireland since 1902 and is thereby one of the oldest badminton tournaments in the world. It was however interrupted by the two World Wars. This tournament is currently a part of the European Badminton Circuit and takes place at the end of November every year as part of the home nations loop of international tournaments that include the Scottish Open (badminton), Scottish Open and the Welsh Open in consecutive weeks. The tournament for most part and in recent years has been an International Challenge rated event. The recent exception was in 2012, 2017 & 2018 when the tournament was downgraded to International Series due to funding. The Gael Linn Cup is a biennial tournament, representative competition for elite level participants in the women's team field sport of camogie, contested by Ireland's four provincial teams with competitions at senior and junior level on alternate years. The tournament has existed in various guides since 1956, currently the senior tournament is played in even years and the junior tournament in odd years.
