Marwan Abou Fadel
Marwan Abou Fadel (Arabic: مروان أبو فاضل) is a Lebanese Greek Orthodox politician and a former Member of Parliament for the Greek Orthodox seat of Aley, in Mount Lebanon. Early life and education Abou Fadel was born in Ain Aanoub, Lebanon in 1958. He is the son of the late Mounir Abou Fadel. He holds a degree in law from the University of Paris, Assas and master's degree in political science, also from France. Political career Abou Fadel entered political life in 1983 when he became the director of his father's office. He is a former MP of Mount Lebanon, co-founder and vice-chairman of the Lebanese Democratic Party. The Lebanese Parliament ( ar, مجلس النواب, translit=Majlis an-Nuwwab; french: Chambre des députés) is the national parliament of the Republic of Lebanon. There are 128 members elected to a four-year term in multi-member constituencies, apportioned among Lebanon's diverse Christian and Muslim denominations but with half of the seats reserved for Christians and half reserved to Muslims per Constitutional Article 24. Lebanon has universal adult suffrage. Aley
Aley ( ar, عاليه) is a major city in Lebanon. It is the capital of the Aley District and fourth largest city in Lebanon. The city is located on Mount Lebanon, 15 km uphill from Beirut on the freeway to Damascus. Aley has the nickname "Bride of the Summer resorts" ( ar, عروس المصايف) due to its cooler climate during the summer touristic season. Rafic Bahaa El Deen Al Hariri ( ar, رفيق بهاء الدين الحريري; 1 November 1944 – 14 February 2005) was a Lebanese business tycoon and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Lebanon from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2000 until his resignation on .
