Marvin Hayes (born May 13, 1986) is a Filipino professional basketball player for Imus SV Squad of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was selected as the 21st overall pick in the 2010 PBA draft by Alaska. On September 4, 2013, he was involved in a brawl in a game against San Mig Coffee Mixers. The scuffle ensued after he and San Mig import Marqus Blakely got tangled up. The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is a men's professional sports, professional basketball league in the Philippines. History Manny Pacquiao launched the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on August 29, 2017, starting off as a semi-professional league. According to Pacquiao, the league is not intended to be a competitor to the Philippine Basketball Association, the country's top professional basketball league. The MPBL was intended to feature both a regional commercial and barangay-level league with teams on the commercial side to have a home locality in addition to a corporate sponsor. Kelly Berry Nabong (born November 17, 1988) is a Filipino-American basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 17th overall in the 2012 PBA draft by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. He would be later traded to the Meralco Bolts on draft night. Joe Calvin Devance Jr. (born February 19, 1982) is a Filipino-American former professional basketball player who won 12 championships over the course of his career with the Alaska Aces, the Magnolia franchise, and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Marqus Austin Blakely (born October 22, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Kumamoto Volters of the B.League. He played college basketball for Vermont. College career Blakely gained a reputation at Vermont by winning the Kevin Roberson America East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year twice and the America East Defensive Player of the Year Award three times. The 2010 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event held at Market! Market! in Taguig on August 29, 2010 that allowed PBA teams to draft players from the amateur ranks.
