Marvel Adventures Spider-Man
''Marvel Adventures Spider-Man'' (preceded by ''Marvel Age Spider-Man'') is a Marvel Comics comic book series intended for all ages, especially children, that ran for 61 issues from May 2005 through May 2010. The ''Marvel Age Spider-Man'' stories were based on early issues that Stan Lee wrote in the 1960s. The first few issues of ''Marvel Adventures Spider-Man'' carried on this tradition before switching to original, single-issue stories, as part of the company's Marvel Adventures imprint, with Paul Tobin beginning an ongoing storyline from Issue #53 onward, introducing Sophia "Chat" Sanduval as the primary love interest of the ''Marvel Adventures'' Spider-Man, the series set in its own alternate continuity of Earth-20051. Ongoing Series
In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback, but a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Characteristics An ongoing series is traditionally published on a fixed schedule, typically monthly or bimonthly but many factors can cause an issue to be published late. In the past, the schedule was often maintained with the use of fill-in issues (usually by a different creative team, sometimes hurting quality), but increasingly the practice has been to simply delay publication. Ale is a style of beer, brewed using a warm fermentation method. In medieval England, the term referred to a drink brewed without hops. As with most beers, ale typically has a bittering agent to balance the malt and act as a preservative. Doctor Octopus (Dr. Otto Octavius), also known as Doc Ock for short, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #3 (July 1963). He is a highly intelligent, myopic, and stocky mad scientist who sports four strong and durable appendages resembling an octopus's tentacles, which extend from his body and can be used for various purposes. ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' is an ongoing American superhero American comic book, comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man as its title character and main protagonist. Being in the Earth 616, mainstream continuity of the franchise, it was the character's first title, launching seven months after his introduction in the final issue of ''Amazing Fantasy''.
