Martín Caparrós

	Martín Caparrós Martín Caparrós (born May 29, 1957) is an Argentine writer, journalist, essayist and social commentator. As an author he is widely known for his detailed and insightful works of fiction and non-fiction. Some of his most notable books include , , and . His books have been translated into numerous languages, earning him widespread acclaim. Biography His father was Antonio Caparrós, a renowned psychiatrist. Caparrós began professional writing at age sixteen. His first professional job in journalism was with the now-defunct daily ''Noticias''. He also wrote extensively for international publications, including ''The New York Times'', ''The Guardian'', ''El País'', and ''The Washington Post''. Caparrós has also been active in various social and political causes. He has campaigned for greater democratic participation in Latin America and to raise awareness about poverty, inequality, and human rights issues.
