Martyn Craig Campbell (born 1970 in Liverpool) is an English bass guitarist. He is best known for his work with Rain, the Lightning Seeds,Strong, Martin C. Cast (band)
Cast are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 1992 by John Power (musician), John Power (vocals, guitar) and Peter Wilkinson (bass guitarist), Peter Wilkinson (bass, backing vocals) after Power left The La's and Wilkinson's former band Shack (band), Shack had split. Following early line-ups with different guitarists and drummers, Liam Tyson, Liam "Skin" Tyson (guitar) and Keith O'Neill (drums) joined Cast in 1993. Emerging from the Britpop movement of the mid-1990s, Cast signed to Polydor Records and their debut album ''All Change (album), All Change'' (1995), which included the single "Walkaway (song), Walkaway", became the highest-selling debut album for the label. ''Keys to the World'' is the third studio album by English singer-songwriter Richard Ashcroft. It was released 23 January 2006, reaching number 2 in the UK Albums Chart (see 2006 in British music). John Power (musician)
John Timothy Power (born 14 September 1967) is an Irish-English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is the frontman of the Britpop band Cast, and the bassist and backing vocalist for The La's from 1986 to 1991. Following the dissolution of Cast in 2001, Power embarked on a solo career. In 2005, he briefly reunited with the La's, who split up again without releasing new material. Cast reformed in 2010, releasing the album '' Troubled Times'' in March 2012, followed by '' Kicking Up the Dust'' in April 2017. Power was born in Allerton, Liverpool. The La's Having previously struggled to find a permanent bass player since their formation, the La's recruited then 18-year-old John Power in July 1986 after he met Mike Badger at a course for unemployed musicians.
