The community has the name of Bishop Martin Marty, the Bishop of Sioux Falls, SD. The community is referred to as ''Ṡinasapa'' in Dakota language of the native Yankton Sioux Tribe. "Marty" is a 1953 television play by Paddy Chayefsky. It was telecast live May 24, 1953, on '' The Philco Television Playhouse'' with Rod Steiger in the title role and Nancy Marchand, in her television debut, playing opposite him as Clara. Chayefsky's story of a decent, hard-working Bronx butcher, pining for the company of a woman in his life but despairing of ever finding true love in a relationship, was produced by Fred Coe with associate producer Gordon Duff. The teleplay was adapted into the feature film '' Marty'' starring Ernest Borgnine in 1955. It was directed by Delbert Mann and written by Chayefsky. FM Towns Marty
The FM Towns Marty is a home video game console released in 1993 by Fujitsu, exclusively for the Japanese market. It uses the AMD 386SX, a CPU that is internally 32-bit but with a 16-bit data bus. The console comes with a built-in CD-ROM drive and disk drive. It was based on the earlier FM Towns computer system Fujitsu had released in 1989. The Marty was backward-compatible with older FM Towns games. In 1994, a new version of the console called the was released.
