Cres
Cres is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, Krk island or from the Istrian peninsula (line Brestova-Porozina). With an area of , Cres has the same size as the neighbouring Krk island. In 2011, Cres had a population of 3,079 people. In the past, Cres and the neighbouring island of Lošinj used to be one island, but now they are divided by a channel and connected by a bridge that starts from the town of Osor, Croatia, Osor. Cres (town)
Cres is a town located on the island of Cres which is directly off the Istrian Peninsula and in the Kvarner Gulf off the northern coast of Croatia. As of 2021, the town had a population of 2,716 inhabitants, which makes it the largest municipality on the island. Town Cres is a city on the bay, as its town docks come directly into the middle of the city and are filled with boats. There is a car park at the entrance to the city, along with multiple restaurants and a gas station. Upon entering the city through one of the gates, there are narrow paths lined by houses and small stores. In the center, there is an open piazza, with people selling different homemade goods. There are also shops and open-air restaurants in which people can sit on the edge and watch the boats come in. Postal codes in Croatia are 5 digit numeric. There are 20 two digit zones defined. Zagreb City and Zagreb County have one, each other first level administrative country subdivision, i.e. one of the counties of Croatia, has its own range. From the 10 possible 1 digit ranges only 5 are assigned: * 1 Zagreb region, * 2 Southern Croatia, * 3 Eastern Croatia, * 4 Central Croatia except Zagreb region, * 5 Western Croatia.
