Martina Carraro
Martina Carraro (born 21 June 1993) is an Italian swimmer. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in 100 m breaststroke and 200 m breaststroke. She was European champion in short course in the 100 m breaststroke at the 2019 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Career 2012–2018 In 2012, Carraro moved to Bologna, joining the Swimming Club Azzurra 1991 led by the coach Fabrizio Bastelli. On 9 July 2015, at the 2015 Gwangju Universiade, he sets the Italian record in the long course on 50 meters breaststroke, with a time of 30.89 in the semifinal, improving his previous record of 31.00 set in Rome during the 2015. Subsequently, she still improves this record during the 2015 Kazan World Championships in heats with a time of 30.83, a record that will be later broken by Arianna Castiglioni. The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event for athletes between 15 and 18 years old, organized by the International Olympic Committee. The games are held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format, though in reverse order with Olympic Winter Games held in leap years instead of Summer Olympic Games. 2015 European Short Course Swimming Championships
The 2015 European Short Course Swimming Championships (25 m) took place in Netanya, Israel, from 2–6 December 2015. They were originally scheduled to be held in January 2015, but the LEN moved the event to December. The venue of the event was the brand new swimming complex of the Wingate Institute. This complex features an Olympic-size pool with 10 lanes and 3 meter depth, backed by the latest built-in filtration systems, an 8-lane 50 m pool and a 6-lane 25 m pool. The swimmer of the meet honors went to Katinka Hosszú of Hungary and Gregorio Paltrinieri of Italy. Hosszú won six gold medals and one silver, breaking two world records and six championship records, while Paltrinieri won one gold medal in a world record time.
