Martin Wildauer
Martin Wildauer (born 27 November 1987) is an Austrian strongman competitor and entrant to the World's Strongest Man competition. He is a competitor of the well-known Strongman Champions League and the Giants Live competitions. Martin is the current world record holder in the Bavarian stonelift and was known for his deadlifting. Biography Martin was born in Kufstein, Tirol in Austria on 27 November 1987. He was a sports enthusiast even as a child and at the age of 10 started kickboxing. After winning some national competitions in Austria after two years he began boxing but due to school commitments he found he did not have the time to commit to boxing. With the time he did have he began weight training and although his parents tried to encourage this further by buying him weights at home he found that the best environment for his progress was the gym. Deadlift
The deadlift is a strength training exercise in which a weight-loaded barbell is lifted off the ground to the level of the hips, with the torso perpendicular to the floor, before being placed back on the ground. Austria's Strongest Man
Austria's Strongest Man is an annual strongman contest consisting of exclusively Austrian strength athletes. The event was established in 1989, the inaugural winner was Manfred Hoeberl who would go on to win the title a total of 7 times. His record was equaled by Martin Wildauer who also won the title 7 times. The title and winners often creates confusion as different sources provide different results, specially between 1992 and 2005, and the titles also coinciding with that of other competitions: ''Austrian Summer Giants'' and ''Austrian Winter Giants'' in addition to be governed by two different federations: ''Austrian Strongman Federation'' and ''Catch Wrestling Association''. Heinz Ollesch
Heinz Ollesch (born November 27, 1966) is a strongman (strength athlete), strongman from Germany. He won Germany's Strongest Man 12 times, and participated in the World's Strongest Man finals in 1995 and 1997. Biography Ollesch was born in Rosenheim, Bavaria and grew up in Lehen, Großkarolinenfeld, starting with strength training 1984 and doing international Strongman contests since 1994. In the same year he was invited to the World's Strongest Man for the first time but did not make it past the qualifying heats. In 1994 he also became Germany's Strongest Man for the first time, a feat he would repeat to 2004. A year later he was invited again and made it to the final where he finished fourth, his best result at the World's Strongest Man.
