Martin Tierney
Martin Tierney (born 4 April 1966) is a Scottish TV pundit and former professional footballer. Playing career Tierney started his career in the youth ranks alongside Alan McInally at Ayr United F.C., Ayr United. In four years with the club, Tierney never made a first team appearance. He then moved to play in Ireland for a number of Irish clubs including Bohemian F.C., Bohemian and Kilkenny City AFC, Kilkenny City. Tierney moved in the early 1990s to Asia, signing for PDRM FA, PDRM FC in the Malaysian List of Malaysia football champions#Liga Perdana (1994–1997), Liga Perdana and then moving onto Penang F.C. also in the Liga Perdana. In 1996 Tierney then moved to play in the North American Professional Leagues starting with Houston Hotshots of the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL). The AFC Champions League (abbreviated as ACL) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation, and contested by Asia's top-division football clubs. The Harvard Crimson men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Harvard University. The team is a member of the Ivy League of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Crimson fielded their first varsity team in 1905, making the team one of the oldest college soccer programs in the United States, and one of the oldest continuously operating soccer programs in the United States. The Golden Hurricane are the athletic teams that represent the University of Tulsa. These teams are referred to as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (or variously as TU or Tulsa). Before adopting the name Golden Hurricane in 1922, the University of Tulsa (TU) had many unofficial team nicknames including Kendallites (from TU's predecessor institution Henry Kendall College), Presbyterians (from the university's founding by the Presbyterian Church), Tulsans, Tigers, Orange and Black, and Yellow Jackets. The name "Golden Tornadoes" was chosen by TU football coach H.M.
