Veles ( mk, Велес ) is a city in the central part of North Macedonia on the Vardar river. The city of Veles is the seat of Veles Municipality. Veles is the sixth largest Macedonian city with a total population of 43,716 (census 2002). Dejan Manaskov ( mk, Дејан Манасков) (born 26 August 1992) is a Macedonian handball player for RK Eurofarm Pelister and the Macedonian national team. He is the older son of Pepi Manaskov. His brother, Martin Manaskov, is also a handball player. With Metalurg he won the championship and the cup 4 times. After Metalurg he moved to the prominent Bundesliga Wetzlar. He had a great season with Wetzlar. So next season RK Vardar brought the winger sniper in its superstar team. He had great season in Vardar winning both the cup and the championship and German Rhein-Necker immediately showed interest in bringing the winger sniper in Germany. After winning the German Bundesliga in his first season European Heavy Weight Veszprem decided to bring him at his team. The Macedonian national handball team is the national handball team of North Macedonia. The team is run by the Macedonian Handball Federation, the governing body of handball in North Macedonia. Prior to joining the International Handball Federation in 1991 as an independent country, North Macedonia was represented within the Yugoslavia men's national handball team. GRK Ohrid ( mk, ГРК Охрид) is a handball club from Ohrid, North Macedonia. They compete in the domestic Macedonian Handball Super League. History GRK Ohrid was founded in 2011 in Ohrid.
