Martin Jay Davis
Martin Jay Davis (September 7, 1937 – January 10, 2022) was an American astrologer and author specializing in locational astrology, as well as a member of the United States fencing team (foil), who competed at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. During the 1963 Pan American Games he won a gold medal with the US fencing team (foil). His first title, ''Astrolocality Astrology'', won the Spica award for the best astrology book in 2000. Fencing
Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre (also ''saber''); winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent. A fourth discipline, singlestick, appeared in the 1904 Olympics but was dropped after that and is not a part of modern fencing. Fencing was one of the first sports to be played in the Olympics. Based on the traditional skills of swordsmanship, the modern sport arose at the end of the 19th century, with the Italian school having modified the historical European martial art of classical fencing, and the French school later refining the Italian system. Locational astrology (sometimes referred to as astrogeography or locality astrology) is any of various types of astrology that factor in specific locations of the Earth. The 1972 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the XX Olympiad () and commonly known as Munich 1972 (german: München 1972), was an international multi-sport event held in Munich, West Germany, from 26 August to 11 September 1972. The event was overshadowed by the Munich massacre in the second week, in which eleven Israeli athletes and coaches and a West German police officer at Olympic village were killed by Palestinian Black September members.
